Description

FOURTH ACADEMIC
Stop, passerby, and look a bit
On many a finely-featured fellow—
At Allar, Bailey, Barnes, and Britt,
And Gerwe, Dautremont, Costello;
At Feeney, Flaherty, and Lew,
And Butler, Glanz, and Horty, too.
Forget not Hudson, Ott, MacLain,
McGivern, Lintz (whose name is Wayne).
See Meersman, Nieters in the crowd;
Don't Klise and Casey show up proud ?
Ray Oberbroekling's got a place;
There's Floerschinger; here's Woeber's face.
With Kelly, Lyon, Van der Vennett
We beg to close our sapient senate.
WE'RE WITH YOU EUGENE
Fr. M. (after E. Fitzpatrick had interrupted Scripture class without
knocking): Don't you know that it's polite to knock when you come into a
room?
Eugene: I didn't know that you were in here, Father.
TEN BONES
Chas. Mack: Gee, my neck's sore, I got two boils.
Bert Mack: They say a boil is worth five dollars to a person.
Red: They sure were worth that to me, I gave Doc Donohue ten dollars to lance mine.
Haskell: Who is that good looking girl going down the street?
Winters: Oh, that's Alma, she goes by the college every morning.
Haskell: I see, that's Alma Mater we hear so many of the fellows talking about. (Somebody crown him.)
