Description

WILLIAM ANTHONY O' CONNOR has taken a shine to the folks at International Harvester. The warm glow began to develop when he started working at the Farmall Works, while still attending St. Ambrose. It burst into brightness when he was selected as a Personnel Development Trainee ... at the local Farmall Works in Rock Island, Illinois. PDT to WILLIAM O'CONNOR means an opportunity for management training in an interesting job rotation program. Interested in hearing about INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER? Check with WILLIAM O'CONNOR, he's presently assigned in the Gear division at the Farmall Works, Rock Island Illinois. The annals of American business reveal a no more colorful nor inspiring story than that of the growth and development of the International Harvester Company. Although in its present form it has been in existence only since 1902, the Company's antecedent history reaches back to 1831, when Cyrus Hall McCormick demonstrated his first reaper to a skeptical gathering at his father's farm near Steele's Tavern, Virginia. Few corporations of similar size and importance can lay claim to such a background of tradition and continuous operation. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER FARMALL WORKS 177
