Problems Receive Attention From:
MR. THOMAS GRADY, BA.
COLONEL CARROLL J. WILLIAMS,
U.S.A. Retired, Advisor to the President
on Financial Affairs. B.A., St. Ambrose
College. On Board of Governors of Iowa
College Foundation, Vice-President of St.
Ambrose College Foundation. Member of
Administrative Council and Budget Committees. MR. THOMAS A. GRADY, B.S.,
St. Ambrose College. Business Manager
for the College. On Administrative Council, Budget, and Space Utilization Committees. Member of Central Catholic College Association, Midwest Association of
Student Financial Aid Administrators, and
Central Association of College and University Business Officers. REV. R. G.
SCHMITZ, B.A., St. Ambrose College.
Dean of Men. On Student Personnel Committee. MR. ROBERT C. TAYLOR, Office Manager. Member of National Office
Managers' Association.
THE BUSINESS OFFICE
The monetary operation of St.
Ambrose College rests in the Business Manager's Office. Many are
oblivious of the fact that this office
is kept busy with endowment funds,
records of property, the care and
maintenance of buildings and the
campus, the college bookstore, the
Catholic Supply Center, and the
ordering of laboratory supplies, besides taking care of tuition, room,
and board payments for the students.
Thus it is that what might have
once been confusing, becomes orderly in the hands of our capable
staff.
COLONEL CARROLL J.
WILLIAMS, BA.
ADVISER ON FINANCE
In its second year of existence
this position is filled by Col. C. J.
Williams who brings to it a wealth
of executive experience. He becomes the resource man whenever
the President must don his "financial
hat" from among the assortment assigned to that office. Other matters
acted upon in this advisory office
are those concerning special gifts,
foundation contacts, budget formulations, and general administrative
duties as directed by the President.
REV. RONALD G. SCHMITZ,
B.A.
THE DEAN OF MEN
The Rev. R. G. Schmitz quickly
learned to recognize his Ambrosian
Family. With the aid of the associate
dean, Rev. T. J. Taylor, and his secretary, Mrs. Kathleen Spencer, campus living is an enjoyable and worthwhile experience for all students.
Dormitory life is regulated from
the Dean's Office with the cooperation of the resident directors and the
student proctors.
The Dean of Student's office is
the nerve center of the social life
of every student. An innovation for
1964-65 was dorm visiting privileges
from 10:30 p.m. until late check on
Friday and Saturday nights.
Advising international students
was one of the challenging and rewarding experiences of the year.
