To Administration
The wide and varied backgrounds
of the Corporation in the fields of
college administration, church leadership, business, medicine, law, communications and research provides
St. Ambrose College with competent advice.
These twenty-two members meet
four times annually in their respective committees. These committees
are concerned with Educational Policies, Finance, Development, Associates, and Rural Service.
The members of the Corporation
assist the administrative staff as advisors and consultants, ever mindful
of the College's main objective, the
education and welfare of the students of St. Ambrose College.
St. Ambrose College is accredited by the North Central Association
of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the Iowa Department of
Public Instruction. It is also affiliated with the Catholic University of
America arid is registered by the State Board of Regents of New York.
Membership is held in the National Catholic Education Association, the Association of American Colleges, the American Council on
Education, the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education,
the National Conference of Church-Related Colleges, the National Commission on Accrediting (not an accrediting agency), and the Iowa Association of Private Colleges and Universities. It is also on the approved
list of the American Association of University Women.
