shattered any upset hopes of the St. Ambrose College
Bees in convincing style Saturday night by tagging the
Davenport quintet with a 76-58 defeat on the Loras court.
Jack Donnelly and Don Morris were high for visitors with
19 and 13 points respectively while trigger arm Marty
snared 19 for Loras.
Davenport, Jan. 19—Bill Murdoch, star freshman guard,
sank a field goal with 45 seconds in the game to enable
the St. Ambrose College Bees to edge past the St. Nor-
bert's college Knights, 61 to 60 in a Midlands Conference
ilt last night.
St. Louis, Mo., Jan. 26—St. Louis scored an easy 71-51
victory over St. Ambrose Saturday night to rack up their
tenth victory in 11 starts this season. The Villikens forged

five players. Bill Murdoch and Jack Donnelly each potted
14 for the winners while Mickey Marty led Loras with 13.
Davenport, Feb. 24—St. Ambrose Bees Sunday night
walloped the Rockhurst College quintet 62-33. St. Ambrose took the lead in the beginning and stayed ahead
all the way. Jack Donnelly, St. Ambrose center, set a
new season scoring record by flipping in 18 points, to
boost his season's total to 277.

Rock Island, III, Feb. 7—St. Ambrose used 16 men Friday night and Illinois Tech used 14 as the Bees batteredt he Illinois team, 76-37. St. Ambrose jumped off to an

topped the scorers with 16 points. John Mikota led
Illinois Tech with 11.
Rock Island, III, Feb. 8—St. Ambrose registered a mild
upset by trimming Simpson 58-47, in an Iowa conference
game Saturday night. Guard Don Morris led St. Ambrose
with 17 points. Jack Blake scored 12 for Simpson before
fouling out near the end of the first half. St. Ambrose led,
26-25 at the half but stretched the margin in the final
period.
