Janus Robberts of Southern Methodist set a new Drake Relays record in the Shot Put with a distance of 67-7 1/4. Robberts was a 3 time NCAA Champion in the Shot Put and was named Outstanding Performer for the Drake Relays in 2001.
Jeff Hartwig talks with Kellie Suttle before her turn at the pole vault. Suttle is a two-time Olympian, competing in both the 2000 and 2004 Olympics. In 2001 she broke 15 feet for the first time to win the Pole Vault at the Drake Relays.
Relays Director Bob Ehrhart is acknowledged during his last Drake Relays before retiring. Ehrhart served as Relays Director from 1969-2000 and was also the head coach of the men's track team from 1969-1992.
